When Stacey started her dog walking and pet sitting service Playful Paws, her goal was simple; to provide her clients with peace of mind. As a pet owner herself, she knows first hand how difficult it can be to find someone trustworthy, reliable, professional and nurturing. She is dedicated to alleviating that worry and stress by providing professional, compassionate high quality care for the animals in her care.
As a former vet assistant Stacey is especially perceptive and attuned to a pets medical needs. With this training she is able to notice physical changes and well as behavioral changes in her clients. This is especially important for senior clients as well as clients with special needs. She is also able to administer various types of medications from pills to injections. With this medical background Stacey is able to provide nursing care for pets recovery from surgery or palliative care for pets going through illness or disease.
Continuing education in the field of animal care and behaviour is important to Stacey as she has spent, and will continue to spend, a considerable amount of time and resources investing in the most up-to-date animal behaviour education available via world-renowned animal behaviour specialists, those that hold PhD’s, are board certified veterinary behaviourists or are professors.
Beyond her experience and credentials , both animals and people respond to Stacey's gentle, patient and caring nature. She views every animal as an individual, taking the time to get to know and understand their unique needs, personality and quirks to be able to provide the best possible care she can.
Being trusted with your furry family member is a true privilege and feels blessed to be able to do so. She does not take this responsibility lightly.
